We operate a repeat prescription service for certain medication. To obtain a repeat prescription please telephone (01506) 771803 between 8.30am and 10.30am.
PLEASE GIVE THE RECEPTIONIST YOUR NAME, ADDRESS, NAME OF MEDICINE, STRENGTH AND DOSAGE. Prescriptions will be ready for collection in 48 hours from the practice.
The latter information should be printed on the label of your previous supply; of if you have had a previous typed prescription, it will be on the tear-off sheet that came with the prescription. You can also use this sheet for re-ordering prescriptions, by ticking which medicines you require and putting the sheet in the box at the reception desk. The practice does not dispense medicines, but there are several pharmacies in the area. These pharmacies provide a service whereby they will uplift your prescription from the surgery and have your medication ready for you to pick up. Please notify the receptionist if you wish to use this service and check with the pharmacy when it will be ready for collection.
Non-urgent advice: Prescription Line
PLEASE NOTE: THE PRESCRIPTION LINE WILL CEASE TO OPERATE FROM THE 1ST OF FEBRUARY 2020. PRESCRIPTIONS CAN STILL BE ORDERED BY HANDING IN YOUR REQUEST TO THE PRACTICE, THROUGH THE PHARMACY AND ALSO ONLINE AS NOTED BELOW.
We have a system to allow patients to order their repeat medication online. We feel this is a valuable tool to make life easier for patients with busy schedules and who work full time. If you are interested in this service, please ask at reception or complete the form online.

In line with Lothian Health Board policy, most medicines are prescribed by their chemical (generic) names, rather than their trade names. This means that some medicines may vary in their appearance, but they are of equivalent strength, quality and efficacy. If in doubt you may check with your pharmacist or doctor.
